Partnership
The Backpackers is a registered company operated in partnership with the Eden Community Initiative, a social enterprise and registered NPO purposed to enable individuals, communities and organisations in the Eden District to achieve their goals economically and socially.
Shepherds Tree partners with Kluyts MakerSpace, Crafted Eden and BizRev (the Business Revolution), the three businesses that form the ECI. We add a fresh dimension to this continuously evolving and successful social enterprise.
We aim to be an inspiring space for locals and tourists alike, where like-minded, hopeful people can think freely and creatively about both personal and community growth, development and opportunity.

Outeniqua Bicycles
Outeniqua Bicycles is an incredibly innovative project run by local craftsmen at Kluyts MakerSpace who have come together to build a series of edgy, functional, custom-made wooden bicycles.
